In between a few other projects this month, I've been working on Ease.

I made it to the sleeves Monday night, and anticipate finishing those either today or tomorrow (fingers crossed!). I almost always do sleeves two-at-a-time on a long circular needle - this is no exception.

There's some variegation in the yarn, but not as much as this picture would lead you to believe.

After the sleeves, I just have to knit the cowl neck portion and a little drawstring. Barring any crazy circumstances, I should be able to finish this by next Wednesday. Which is really perfect timing to start Mad May! I still can't believe I've knit a sweater a month so far this year - crazy!

What are you working on?

  1. That looks wonderful - I love the yarn you're using.

I'm currently knitting a Newale by Cecily Glowik MacDonald in yellow Rowan Cashsoft DK which cheers me up when the weather's not good.

    1. Thank you! The yarn is very nice, but I'm not sure it was the right choice for this project. It has crazy good stitch definition, which is probably better suited to a cabled sweater. Oh well!

Oh, that is going to be stunning! I just added Newale to my queue - thanks for that. :)

  3. That shade of red is one of my favourite colours. I thought about knitting both sleeves together the last time I made a jumper, but it seemed very awkward. Good idea though.

    1. Knitting two-at-a-time takes a bit of fiddling in the beginning, but once I get going I much prefer it. Then again, I have fallen victim to second-sock-syndrome.
