It's been pretty quiet around here for the last week (sorry!), and I'm sure this coming week will be more of the same. I haven't been blogging because I've been furiously knitting the last of my Mad May projects. I was able to complete 6 projects for Mad May, which is about 4 more than I thought I'd be able to do. It worked out so that 3 are for gifts and 3 are for me. That's a pretty good ratio, right?

I've already shared my Pressed Leaves and Dahlia Cabernet cowl. Over the weekend I finished my Window to my Soul. I could not be happier with this sweater, especially given it's shaky start. I was worried about completing a fingering weight cardigan in less than a month, particularly after having to start over. However, this knit up much faster than I thought it would - 3 weeks of on and off knitting.

This was my first time using Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light for a sweater and I am totally and completely hooked. It's light, but warm and so, so soft. For my Window, I used the colorway Wash. I found tiny pearly white buttons at a local craft store, which complete the sweater. You can see more detailed notes, including my modifications on my project page.

Next week I'll share my Mad May gift knits.

Did you knit anything for Mad May? Have you knit a sweater lately?

Project Details:
Yarn: Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light in Wash
Needles: US 3 (3.25mm), US 4 (3.5mm), US 5 (3.75mm)

  1. Oh, my! This. Is. Gorgeous! I'm beyond impressed that you've been able to finish so many projects this month! I feel like I'm in a rut. I just ned to finish something... anything. Or, maybe I should go cast-on this sweater... :-D
