I haven't made any progress at all on my Mad May sweater, but I did finish a cowl!
The pattern is Cabernet Infinity Scarf by Monika Sirna. It is written for 3 weights - fingering, sport/DK, and worsted/aran. It's also written in 4 sizes from a child's cowl to an extra long infinity scarf. I made a small DK weight version, but all of the weights and sizes are included in one pdf so you won't have to commit to anything before you buy the pattern.
I used Madelinetosh Tosh DK in Dahlia, leftover from my Calligraphy Cardigan. Like most MadTosh colorways, this color is beautiful and complex. It almost glows in certain lights. It's also a color that can be worn regardless of the season. Despite it being mid-May, yesterday it was cold enough that I wore this cowl to the store and the color felt appropriately springy. I also know that it works well during the winter because I practically lived in my Calligraphy Cardigan after I finished it. All in all, I think this little cowl will get a ton of wear.

That is so pretty! I love the colour you chose.
ReplyDeleteThat cowl is delightful! I'm swooning over the raspberry color you chose to knit it in!
ReplyDeleteThat has to be the nicest cowl I have seen. The colour will be very flattering and the stitch is very feminine. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so beautiful! I really want to make one of those :)
